Worldwide refrigerant regulations: what are the options?


The period from 2025 to 2030 is expected to pose significant challenges regarding refrigerants, as several new regulations will apply in many countries.



For instance, the EU has recently adopted the new F-gas regulation and is considering a proposal to restrict the use of PFAS. In the US, the AIM Act regulates the use of HFC refrigerants, while other countries such as China, Canada, Australia, and Japan have also imposed regulations on these refrigerants.
