Cybersecurity has become a core priority for the HVAC/R sector. These systems are essential for comfort, safety, and critical infrastructure, and vulnerabilities can lead to consequences that extend well beyond data breaches.

Over the past two decades, the European Union has developed a strong cybersecurity framework, including ENISA, the Cybersecurity Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2, and the Radio Equipment Directive. Together, these measures aim to protect digital products and connected systems, setting clear obligations for manufacturers and service providers.
