On 26 June, in celebration of World Refrigeration Day® incorporating World Heatpumps Day 2024, CAREL employees participated in the "Every degree counts" initiative, organised by the Group to raise awareness about global temperature increases. By raising the thermostat by 2 degrees in all buildings at the Brugine Headquarters, excluding production areas, 640 kWh of energy were saved in a single day, preventing the emission of 293 kg of CO2. This energy saving is equivalent to the emissions from a petrol car travelling approximately 5,000 km.
Today, we reflect on the results and impact of this initiative that is part of CAREL's broader sustainability plan.
